Zusammenfassung:	After France and other EU member states have agreed on new EU rules for the controversial Nord Stream 2 project, the path seems clear for the construction of the pipeline. Nevertheless, the federal government is mistaken if it believes that critics should pacify it. From the outset, Germany has underestimated the image damage this project will cause. Nachdem sich Frankreich und andere EU-Mitgliedstaaten über neue EU-Vorschriften für das umstrittene Projekt Nord Stream 2 geeinigt haben, scheint der Weg frei für den Bau der Pipeline. Trotzdem irrt sich die Bundesregierung, wenn sie glaubt, damit die Kritiker zu befrieden. Deutschland hat von Anfang an unterschätzt, welchen Imageschaden dieses Projekt anrichten wird.
