Smilei-D

Smilei-D is an exhibition series that opened on the 20th anniversary of iD. Smilei-D addresses the spirit of the magazine: a mix of fashion and social documentation. This multi-media installation features over 80 images from the pages of iD. Locations for the exhibition have been all over the world, including London, Milan, Paris, New York, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Santiago de Chile, Barcelona and Caracas. Smilei-D is an exhibition series which was initiated on the ocassion of the 20th birthday of i-D. Traveling to fashion capitals of the world, Smilei-D highlights the spirit of the magazine - a blend of fashion and social documentation the exhibition captures the innovation that has brought i-D to the forefront of contemporary fashion and culture. This multi-media installation contains over 80 images from the pages of i-D, most notably i-D's signature 'straight-ups', head to toe shots of people looking good in their clothes, along with memorable covers including Madonna, Sade, Björk, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen. Locations for the exhibition have been all over the world including London, Milan, Paris, New York (all in 2001), Buenos Aires (2003), Mexico City, Santiago de Chile, Barcelona and Caracas (all in 2004). Smilei-D is een tentoonstelling serie die werd geopend op de 20e verjaardag van iD. Smilei-D gaat in op de geest van het blad: een mix van mode en sociale documentatie.
