This former warehouse building had been renovated at a cost of ?5 million. On the right is the War Memorial, which was designed by Henry Charles Fehr in 1922 and originally stood in City Square. Behind this is Cookridge Street, and Permanent House, the headquarters of the Leeds Permanent Building Society, now part of The Light leisure complex.
