Zusammenfassung: | This project, commissioned by English Heritage, addresses certain key questions identified in existing research frameworks concerning the palaeolandscapes of two key periods of recolonisation: Late Middle/Upper Palaeolithic (Marine Isotope Stage (MIS 3) and post-Last Glacial Maximum (MIS 2-1); i.e. the last 60 thousand years. An assessment has been undertaken to establish the potential of the geophysical, geoarchaeological and existing archaeological resource to enhance our understanding of the archaeological potential and significance of submerged landscapes and their relationship to archaeological understanding onshore. |
