Zusammenfassung: | The considerations were limited to the particular example of memorial gardens in the shape of cemeteries, their history and location in the structure of Cracow. Generally these types of objects were established in different forms and time in close relation to the development of the city. The beginnings of burial spots were connected with Lusatian culture – crematory graves. After Poland accepted catholic religion numerous cemeteries were established near temples. A separate group were heterodox objects frequently located outside the walls. From the beginning of the 19th century communal cemeteries were established for Podgórze and Cracow. Currently there are 12 communal, 18 parochial, 5 denominational and 7 military necropolises located within the administrative boundaries of the city. |
