Zusammenfassung: | This study was undertaken to examine similarities and differences in the rankings of values by selected elementary and secondary teachers residing in a southern region of the USA and in Western Australia. The values ranked were those described in the Rokeach Value Survey (RVS). Based on the study findings, it was concluded that Australian teachers and American teachers hold similar democratic value systems in terms of their top five values but vary in several of the values as identified by Rokeach. Possible reasons for these differences are discussed. [Author abstract] |
