Zusammenfassung:The application of an educative approach to behavioral parent training packages is proposed. Differences between the educative approach and behavioral parent training packages are discussed, including differences in the target population, and the philosophy of assessment and intervention. Overviews of general techniques used in each strategy are provided. Issues surrounding an integration of the components of each approach are highlighted and addressed, including: how parent training packages would benefit, the practicality of such an integration in terms of time, and the feasibility of applying the educative approach to typically developing children. A case study is provided to illustrate how such an integration might occur.
