Zusammenfassung:Mathematical connection skill is one of the essential aspects of mathematic learning and a structured and interrelated science. However, student mathematical connection skill is still low. This research investigates the use of the Brainstorming method in the learning process to withdraw the best ideas in improving student mathematical connection skills and the relation of mathematical connection skill with metacognition skill. This study uses a quasi-experiment method involving 60 Junior High School students in Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. The instrument used in this research is the mathematical connection skill test also the metacognition questionnaire. Data analysis uses t-Test, N-Gain, and Correlation Test. Result of the study shows that; 1) Mathematical connection skill of students who learn using Brainstorming method is better than those who use expository learning. (2) there is an improvement of student's mathematical connection skills by using the Brainstorming method. (3) there is a relation between connection skills and metacognition of students. Indicator of mathematical connection with other science concepts in this matter the Arabic language is dominating and indicates a mathematical connection in real life. Therefore, the Brainstorming learning method can be used as a learning model alternative to improve mathematical connection and student metacognition
