Zusammenfassung: | Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) is an active-learning pedagogy that emphasizes content mastery as well as the development of process skills like critical thinking and problem solving. Although published POGIL materials are available in several STEM disciplines, there are still a number of courses within a variety of disciplines for which materials have not been written. The authors describe how to write POGIL activities, including details on the learning theories behind POGIL, how to develop a model, how to write guiding questions that scaffold content mastery and development of process skills, and how to refine an activity based on feedback. |
