Zusammenfassung:Postsecondary education programs (PSEs) for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in colleges and universities expand opportunities for these young adults and result in positive outcomes, including employment and improved social networks. Although participating in postsecondary education results in numerous benefits for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, professionals are often unsure how to conceptualize or develop programs. This manuscript provides a step-by-step description of the development and implementation of a PSE at a Midwestern public university. Implications for high school and university professionals are discussed.
