Zusammenfassung: | In July of 2005, the American Association of Physics Teachers/Physics Teacher Resource Agents (AAPT/PTRA) Rural Project gathered 73 PTRAs at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City for the annual AAPT/PTRA Leadership Institute. The major goal for the summer institute is to provide the PTRAs with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively lead outreach institutes for rural teachers. The AAPT/PTRA project offered eight workshops during the Summer Leadership Institute, covering topics such as inquiry, graphical analysis, physlets, and geometric optics. In its fourth year, the project successfully established an additional nine Rural Regional Sites, and provided professional development to roughly 700 teachers in the 34 rural summer institutes and follow-up sessions. Two appendices are included: (1) Analysis and Reporting of Questionnaire Data; and (2) Questionnaires (AAPT/PTRA: Pre-Institute Questionnaire; AAPT/PTRA: Post-Institute Questionnaire; Rural Institute Participant Questionnaire (Version A); and Rural Institute Participant Questionnaire (Version B). (Contains 25 Tables and 10 footnotes.) [Provided document does not include Appendix 2 (Questionnaires).
