The Knowledge Economy and Postsecondary Education: Report of a Workshop (Washington, DC, May 14-15, 2001)

The Committee on the Impact of the Changing Economy on the Education System of the Center for Education, National Research Council, held a workshop to discuss changes in postsecondary education practices in response to economic factors. The report results from the Committees deliberations, the discussions at the workshop, and the papers prepared for the workshop. Part 1 of this document, the Workshop Report, identifies the central questions that emerged from the workshop discussion.
