An introduction discusses each of these foundations in addition to the course description, mathematics strands, instructional practices, and assessment. The 12 mathematics strands are: mathematical reasoning, statistics, polynomials, spatial geometry, linear relations, similarity and congruence, probability, powers and exponents, trigonometry, measurement, transformational geometry, and rational expressions.
