Zusammenfassung:Driven by a competitive environment with other employers to maintain a quality workforce, businesses are increasingly becoming aware of the necessity to assist employees with programs and services regarding family needs. Unfortunately, most small to medium size companies are either ignorant of the necessity for family friendly services or lack the financial resources for providing such programs. A cost effective family oriented resource directory for the employees of a small business was designed and implemented. A post-distribution survey suggests employee satisfaction with a company initiated family oriented program, but future success and effectiveness will require continuous improvement and measurement. Appendixes contain the employee interest and needs survey, the proposed implementation plan, and the directory distribution survey. Contains 33 references. (Author/JBJ)
