Zusammenfassung:	An adult farmer course designed to develop the effective ability of land holders to plan for and implement wise land use is presented. The unit consists of eight lesson plans: (1) the importance of land use, (2) the physical and chemical properties of the soil, (3) soil testing as a tool of land use, (4) balanced fertilization of soils, (5) selection of productive crop and/or livestock programs based on wise land use, (6) soil and water conservation, (7) soil and water management for rural use, and (8) soil water management for urban use. Masters for transparencies are included for each lesson. In addition, a teaching plan for the course and other planning forms are appended. (VA)
