Zusammenfassung:	A distinctive method for intermittently applying at least one elastic member (22) onto a continuously moving substrate web (24) along a selected path includes a substrate web (24) which is moved along a substrate path. The elastic member (22) is supplied along an elastic path and is also elongated. A meltblown adhesive (52) is intermittently applied to the substrate web at spaced-apart locations along the selected path. The elongated elastic member (22) is delivered to the substrate web (24) along the selected path and secured to the substrate web (24) at the spaced-apart locations. Thus, a secured portion of the elongated elastic member (22) is provided at each of the spaced-apart locations and an unsecured portion of the elongated elastic member (22) is provided between each of the spaced-apart locations. The unsecured portions of the elongated elastic member (22) are selectively cut and allowed to elastically contract. In a specific aspect, a first plurality of elastic members (22) are applied to the substrate web (24) along a first curvilinear path (26) and a second plurality of elastic members (22) are applied to the substrate web (24) along a second curvilinear path (28).
