Zusammenfassung:	An air separation plant has a supply line (1) which leads into a distilling system via an air compressor and a cleaning installation and a main heat exchanger (2). In addition, product lines (9, 10, 11) lead from the distilling system to the main heat exchanger. At least one partial region of at least one rectifier column of the distilling system contains a regular packing consisting of parallel folded slats (101-103) made of a foil-like material and having apertures (106) adjacent slats are in contact, and the slats have substantially smooth surfaces between two folds (104, 105).
