Zusammenfassung:	In the desulphurisation of a reducing gas used directly as process gas by means of basic solids, the separation of the sulphur from the gas at high temperatures is effected by transporting the finely granular basic solids in a carrier gas which does not react with the reducing gas, mixing them with the hot reducing gas at the inlet of a transport section (5) designed as a reaction device and reprecipitating them, after they have passed the transport section, in the loaded state and, if appropriate, together with other dusty impurities. The process is preferably intended for the desulphurisation of reducing gas which is generated in a molten iron reactor (1).
