Zusammenfassung:In a two-step process for producing hydrocarbons an alcohol (e.g. methanol) is first contacted with a ZSM-5 catalyst in a fluid bed reaction zone (4) to effect 80-95% conversion. The feed and the catalyst are then separated and a first part of the catalyst is sent to a cooling zone (30), while a second part is sent to a regeneration zone (36). The first reaction product is contacted in a second, fixed bed reaction zone (50) with a ZSM-5 catalyst to complete the alcohol conversion.
