Zusammenfassung:In order to combine the advantages of cut-off and regulating valves, namely rapid cut-off and fine regulation, the spindle head (5), originating from the sealing edge (14), is designed as a cylinder (15) the end of which has the shape of a hemisphere (18). The valve seat (2) is a cylindrical hole which can be brought into engagement with the cylinder of the spindle head. The transition region between the cylinder and the hemisphere is preferably of conical design, for example a double cone of 1 DEG and 3 DEG . This transition region acts like a needle valve, with an extremely fine regulation capability. On further rotation of the spindle, the flow cross-section is increasingly rapidly opened by the hemisphere, so that the valve then acts like a cut-off valve.
