Zusammenfassung:A crystalline alumino-silicate ZKU-catalyst, comprising: a crystallized composition having the following molar ratios: SiO2/Al2O3 8-70 OH-/SiO2 0.2-1.6 H2O/SiO2 10-30 M/SiO2 0.2-1.7 R/SiO2 0.0086-0.20 R/R+M 0.0005-0.40 K2O/M2O 0.05-0.3 wherein R is a conditioning agent comprising a tetraalkyl ammonium cation, the alkyl moieties of which are methyl or ethyl; and wherein M is an alkali metal ion. The composition is defined by its X-ray diffraction pattern. The catalyst is made by heating the composition to a temperature of from about 150.degree.C to about 270.degree.C; maintaining the composition at this temperature for a period of from about 0.5 to about 20 hours and forming a crystallized product thereby; further processing the crystallized product by filtering, washing and drying; and calcining the product at a temperature of from about 400.degree.C to about 600.degree.C for a period of from about 0.5 to about 5 hours. The composition can also be mixed with seed crystals such as .alpha.-alumina, kaoline, zeolite or porcelain powders. The catalyst has the advantages of superior catalytic activity, selectivity and long life.
