Anion exchangers based on crosslinked N-alkylated polyacrylamides or polymethacrylamides, which contain both weakly basic amino groups and quaternary ammonium groups, characterised in that the proportion of quaternary ammonium groups is 10 to 80% of the total basic groups of the anion exchanger and in that the amino group of the N-aminoalkylated poly-(meth)acrylamide resin is quaternised by the methyl, ethyl or propyl group, it being possible for the ethyl or propyl group to be substituted by a hydroxyl group.
