Zusammenfassung:	Wool, wool fabrics, and wool garments are shrinkproofed by (a) treating with an aq. bath contg. a dispersed or emulsified polyurethane, and (b) heating the prod., while still in a wet state, without drying or elimination of water, at an elevated temp. in the presence ofa reducing agent. Excellent permanent shrinkproofing is obtd.; process is rapid and controlled no feling of the shrinkproofed material is obtd. during dyeing; and the combed wool fabrics can be shrinkproofed without damage.
