Zusammenfassung:	A liquid sample is introduced into a vaporizer which is continuously swept with a carrier gas and connected to a chromatographic column. The liquid sample is supplied to the vaporizer via a pipe fitted with a valve such that the opening and then the closing of the valve permits injection of the requisite quantity of liquid sample at a predetermined rate. The method consists in carrying out at the end of injection a rapid purge of all the liquid contained in the pipe between the valve and the vaporizer and in carrying out a continuous purge of the pipe between injection periods.
