FUNGICIDES FOR PROTECTING PLANTS

Cpds. of the formula : R-OR1 (I) (where R is 2-4C alkyl substd. by Br and NO2 and R1 is H or the acyl residu of a halo-carboxylic acid), pref. 2-bromo-2-nitro-1-propanol, 2-bromo-2-nitro-1-butanol and 2-bromo-2-nitrobutyl 2-chloro-2-bromoacetate, are used as fungicide in plant-protection.
