Zusammenfassung:	1335768 Mixing apparatus BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 23 June 1971 [23 June 1970] 29414/71 Heading B1C [Also in Division B5] Apparatus for homogenizing, thermally equalising and extruding thermoplastics comprises a single screw 4 having an inflighted zone adjacent the exit which has a length of at least twice the screw major diameter and is provided with projections 5, 6 of at least two different heights, the ratio of projection diameter to height being 0.25-2. The projections may be arranged irregularly or in herring- bone pattern (see Fig. 2, not shown) and may be polished and have rounded tops. They may all have substantially the same diameter and be spaced a distance of 1.5 times the diameter. Projections may extend into the adjacent flighted portion of the screw.
