Zusammenfassung:Producing regenerated biopolymers in the form of carbohydrates, preferably of starch, cellulose and/or their derivatives, using a solvent system containing the biopolymer dissolved in it, where the solvent system is based on a molten ionic liquid and/or optionally a protic solvent, comprises precipitating the biopolymers dissolved in the solvent system in a coagulation medium comprising a protic coagulant or its mixture. The surface tension (measured according to ASTM D 1590-60 at 50[deg] C) of the protic coagulant amounts to 99-30% of the surface tension of water. Independent claims are included for: (1) a regenerated biopolymer, obtained by the above method, in the form of fibers, filaments or foils; and (2) spinning fibers based on regenerated cellulose with a wet fibrillation note of = 2, which are preferably non-fibrillated, and with a ratio of wet liquid to dry solid of at least 0.55, preferably at least 0.6.
