Zusammenfassung:	A novel antibiotic-producing i(Bacillus sp.) is provided that exhibits antifungal activity only on certain specific plant pathogens and no antibacterial activity is provided by this invention, as well as a biologically pure culture of a strain having all the identifying characteristics of this strain. Also provided is a method of treating or protecting plants, fruit and roots from fungal infections by applying an effective amount of these strains, supernatants produced by these strains or a metabolite isolated from these strains. The invention further encompasses the synergistic fungicidal effect of using a strain of NRRL Accession Nos. B-30087 together with B-21661 (AQ 713). U ovom pronalasku je dokazano da soj iz roda Bacillus, koji produkuje novi antibiotik, pokazuje antifungalnu aktivnost protiv odredjenih specifičnih patogena biljaka ali u ovom pronalasku nema dokaza da ne pokazuje i antibakterijsku aktivnost, što važi i za biološki čistu kulturu soja koji ima sve identifikacione karakteristike ovoga soja. Takodje je naveden metod za tretiranje i zaštitu nadzemnog dela biljke, korena ili ploda od gljivičnih infekcija primenom delotvorne količine ovih sojeva, supernatanta koji produkuju ovi sojevi ili metabolita izolovanih iz kultura ovih sojeva. Pronalazak dalje obuhvata sinergistički fungicidni efekat koristeći soj NRRL pristup ugovoru pod brojevima B-30087 zajedno sa B-21661 (AQ 713).
