Zusammenfassung: | A method of purifying gas mixtures containing 85% minium CO2, also water and the more volatile H2, N2, methane, and other less volatile hydrocarbons and H2S consists of: (a) distilling the water at 45-60 atm. and 10 degrees C minimum, (b) separating the less volatile constituents with the water using a reflux ratio above 0.2, (c) distilling the more volatile constituents using the feed to the column as the downward trickling liquid for rectification; this feed is adjusted to the boiling temp. of CO2 associated with the distillation pressure and to a pressure above distillation pressure. No adsorption dyring of CO2; clogging due to formation of ice and hydrates is eliminated; very exact separation; low plant cost. After distilling the water, the other impurities are separated in two columns, one for the more volatile constituents at 10-35 atm., the other for the less volatile at least 1 atm. higher, but not above 60 atm. |
