Said wall also comprises at least one additional strand (15, 16) which comprises a substantially unextendable core (15) on which is formed a layer of cushioning material (16). The cushioning material (16) forms cushioning projections (17) on at least one of the external and internal surfaces of the wall. L'invention concerne une gaine (10) de protection comportant une paroi tubulaire. La paroi tubulaire comporte plusieurs brins (11, 13) similaires constitués d'une matière flexible, et qui sont formés en un tissu. Ladite paroi comporte également au moins un brin (15, 16) supplémentaire qui comporte une âme (15) sensiblement non étirable sur laquelle est formée une couche de matière (16) amortisseuse. La matière (16) amortisseuse forme des saillies (17) amortisseuses sur la surface externe et/ou la surface interne de la paroi.
