METHOD FOR THE REMOVAL AND RECOVERY OF LACTIDE FROM POLYLACTIDE

The invention relates to a method for the removal of lactide from polylactide and recovery of lactide from a lactide-containing gas by cooling the hot lactide-containing gas, wherein a polymer melt travelling through a nozzle forms thin threads, the surface area of which is so large that in a normal-pressure or vacuum evaporator the lactide evaporates from the polymer rapidly into a hot carrier-gas flow and the polymer settles under gravity onto a collecting device. A hot lactide-containing gas is cooled rapidly to a temperature below 100 DEG C, whereupon the lactide crystallizes from gas, forming lactide crystals, which are separated from the gas. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de séparer du lactide de polylactide, et de récupérer ledit lactide à partir d'un gaz renfermant du lactide, par refroidissement d'un gaz chaud renfermant du lactide, dans lequel un polymère fondu, passant dans une buse, forme des filaments fins dont la surface est si grande que dans un évaporateur sous vide ou sous pression normale, ledit lactide s'évapore rapidement du polymère, dans un écoulement de gaz porteur, ledit polymère se déposant par gravité sur un dispositif collecteur. Un gaz chaud renfermant du lactide est rapidement refroidi à une température inférieure à 100 DEG C, ce qui permet au lactide de se cristalliser à partir du gaz, formant ainsi des cristaux de lactide séparés dudit gaz.
