IMPROVEMENTS TO DEVICES FOR IDENTIFICATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES

The invention relates to a new process for the location and the displacement control of motor vehicles, said process being based on the simple installation of a small device which contains the recorded code corresponding to the identity of each vehicle and placed adjacent to the fuel tank tube mouth, under the cap. By means of an electronic reading device appropriately mounted in the nose of the fuel tank key, the vehicle identity code is read and transmitted directly to the central computing system of the petrol station in order to obtain the authorization of filling fuel into the tank, the station pump being activated if the received code is accepted, the operation of the pump being maintained as long as the device and the reader are in contact, the station pump being immediately disconnected upon separation or removal of the nose from the contact position, thereby preventing the supply of fuel to other vehicles using that same code.
