The memory is able to store a complex signal directly, such that a real-time computing unit is no longer required. The oscillator is particularly suitable for eddy current measurements. La présente invention concerne un oscillateur numérique comprenant un oscillateur (40), un compteur (41), une mémoire (42), un convertisseur numérique-analogique (43) et un filtre passe-bas (44). La mémoire est apte à mémoriser directement un signal complexe, ce qui permet de ne pas utiliser une unité de calcul temps réel. Application notamment à la mesure par courants de Foucault.
