IMPROVED STABILITY OF AZADIRACHTIN-CONTAINING SOLID

The stability of an azadirachtin-containing solid preparation is increased if the preparation contains about 5 % or less volatile polar solvents and 1 % or less water. Reduction of the percentage of volatile polar solvents present in preparations of azadirachtin-containing solids to such levels improves the storage-stability of the solids without significantly degrading the azadirachtin in the solid. Solvents are preferably removed by drying the preparation at a suitable temperature for a time sufficient to reduce the level of water and volatile polar solvents to acceptable levels. La stabilité d'une préparation d'un solide contenant de l'azadirachtine est augmentée si la préparation contient une quantité inférieure ou égale à 5 % de solvants polaires volatils et une quantité d'eau inférieure ou égale à 1 %. La diminution du pourcentage de solvants polaires volatils présents dans des préparations de solides contenant de l'azadirachtine jusqu'à ces niveaux améliore la stabilité de stockage des solides sans dégrader de façon significative l'azadirachtine contenue dans le solide. Les solvants sont éliminés de préférence par séchage de la préparation à une température convenable durant un temps suffisant pour diminuer le niveau de l'eau et des solvants polaires volatils jusqu'à des niveaux acceptables.
