METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THERMALLY PROCESSING HOSPITAL WASTE AND THE LIKE

Waste (22) is loaded into a gasification chamber (1) above a grate (8) linking it to a postcombustion chamber (7). A gasifying agent is fed into the gasification chamber (1) and postcombustion air is fed into the chamber (7) via an inlet (9). The gasifying agent is fed in through two inlets of which one (4) first feeds the gasifying agent through a waste drying area (2), while the other (5) feeds it directly into a gasification area (3). A heat exchanger (15) in the postcombustion chamber (7) heats the secondary air (9) as well as air (17) fed into the gasification chamber (1) at the end of the process in order to disinfect it. Small units in hospitals and clinics may thus be provided. Un agent de gazéification est envoyé dans la chambre de gazéification (1) et de l'air de post-combustion est introduit dans la chambre (7) par une entrée (9). L'agent de gazéification est introduit de manière répartie par deux entrées dont l'une (4) fait passer l'agent de gazéification d'abord par une zone (2) de séchage des déchets tandis que l'autre (5) fait directement pénétrer l'agent de gazéification dans la zone de gazéification (3). Un échangeur de chaleur (15) monté dans la chambre de post-combustion (7) réchauffe l'air secondaire (9) ainsi que de l'air (17) envoyé en fin de processus dans la chambre de gazéification (1) pour la désinfecter. Utilisation pour réaliser de petites unités dans les hôpitaux et cliniques.
