Direct gene transfer methods can be used to transform the protoplasts with foreign gene(s), whereby regeneration of the transformed protoplasts provide transgenic green plants. La présente invention du domaine des phyto-biotechnologies, concerne un procédé de régénération de plantes fertiles à partir de protoplastes isolés dans des cultures de microspores d'orge. Des procédés de transfert direct de gènes permettent de transformer les protoplastes au moyen de gène(s) étranger(s), la régénération des protoplastes ainsi transformés produisant des céréales transgéniques.
