Un procédé d'obturation d'au moins une cuvette sur un certain nombre de cuvettes comportant des ouvertures dirigées vers le haut, prévues dans une plaque et servant à recevoir des substances chimiques et/ou biochimiques et/ou microbiologiques, la plaque étant thermiquement déformable et les ouvertures aboutissant à la face supérieure de la plaque. Ledit procédé comporte les opérations suivantes: a) dépôt d'une plaque de recouvrement thermiquement déformable sur la face supérieure de la plaque, l'ouverture au moins de la cuvette, au nombre d'une au moins, à obturer étant recouverte par une zone de la plaque dont la face supérieure est dirigée vers le haut, puis b) application d'un cordon d'assemblage entourant au moins l'ouverture de la cuvette à obturer, cordon qui établit un assemblage entre l'ouverture au moins de la cuvette à obturer et la plaque.
