The coated fibers are coated with a superabsorbant polymer. The coated fibers, especially in the form of tow, can be incorporated into absorbant articles, such as diapers. Fibres enrobées capables d'absorber et de transporter spontanément certains liquides, par exemple des liquides aqueux, telle que l'eau, sur leurs surfaces. Les fibres enrobées sont revêtues d'un polymère superabsorbant. On peut incorporer les fibres enrobées, notamment sous la forme de filasse dans des articles absorbants telles que des couches.
