Zusammenfassung:A method for feeding the metal into the crystallizer of a continuous casting installation with a linear processing axis, providing for feeding the metal (1) under the meniscus at a depth of about 0.16 to 0.6 of the width of the crystallizer (4) in the direction of pulling of the ingot parallel to the longitudinal axis (8) of the crystallizer (4) and with an offset in relation to said axis of about 0.05 to 0.3 of the width of the crystallizer (4) and in the direction of its lower face. On a mis au point un procédé d'alimentation en métal d'un cristallisateur d'une installation de coulage en continu à axe de pression linéaire, acheminant le métal (1) sous la surface du bain à une profondeur égale à environ 0,16 à 0,6 par rapport à la largeur du cristallisateur (4) dans le sens de tirage des lingots, parallèle à l'axe longitudinal (8) du cristallisateur (4), et avec un décalage par rapport audit axe d'environ 0,05 à 0,3 par rapport à la largeur dudit cristallisateur (4), et dans le sens de sa face inférieure.
