PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING WATER-DILUTABLE COATING MATERIALS WITH LONG STORAGE LIFE AND USE THEREOF

The invention concerns a process for manufacturing water-dilutable coating materials with long storage life based on acrylic resins containing carboxyl and hydroxyl groups and/or their copolymerizates, produced by solution polymerization, wholly or partly etherified, water-dilutable aminoplastics, water-miscible organic solvents, amines and water, characterized in that non water-dilutable, wholly or partly etherified aminoplastics are used and in that the coating material obtained is precondensed in the alkaline region at high temperature. Also described is the use of these agents.
