Zusammenfassung:	Functionalized polyphenylene ethers are prepared by reacting a polyphenylene ether with a polymerizable olefinic compound containing a phosphorus or silicon atom or an epoxy or lactam group, preferably in the presence of a free radical initiator. They may be used in the preparation of compatible polyphenylene ether blends with such polymers as polyesters and polyamides. Les éthers de polyphénylène fonctionnalisés sont préparés en faisant réagir un éther de polyphénylène avec un composé oléfinique polymérisable contenant un atome de phosphore ou de silicium ou un groupe époxy ou lactame, de préférence en présence d'un initiateur d'un radical libre. Ces éthers peuvent être utilisés dans la préparation de mélanges compatibles d'éther de polyphénylène avec des polymères tels que des polyesters et des polyamides.
