SOFT-START CONTROL FOR A PUSH-PULL CONVERTER-REGULATOR WITH A FLUX BALANCING CIRCUIT

A soft-start control (54) for use with a push-pull converter-regulator (10) having a flux balancing circuit (48). The push-pull converter (10) is responsive to a pulse with modulated waveform to provide a DC output, the converter having an error amplifier (32) for comparing the DC output to a reference signal to vary the duty cycle of the pulse width modulated waveform. The soft-start circuit (54) provides a varying reference signal to the error amplifier (32), the reference signal gradually increasing from zero to a predetermined level during the start-up of the converter (10). Commande de démarrage en douceur (54) pour un convertisseur-régulateur push-pull (10) possédant un circuit d'équilibrage de flux (48). Le convertisseur push-pull (10) est sensible à une impulsion à onde modulée pour produire un signal de sortie de courant continu, le convertisseur possédant un amplificateur d'erreur (32) pour comparer la sortie de courant continu avec un signal de référence et faire varier la période de fonctionnement de l'onde modulée par largeurs d'impulsions. Le circuit de démarrage en douceur (54) envoie un signal de référence variable à l'amplificateur d'erreurs (32), le signal de référence augmentant graduellement de zéro jusqu'à un niveau prédéterminé pendant le démarrage du convertisseur (10).
