BED ARRANGEMENT

A bed arrangement, specially beds (10, 11) for hospitals, institutions and the like. The bed comprises a bed base (11) which is divided into two sections (12, 13), namely a back support section (12) which is pivotable about a horizontal, transverse axis (14) about at the centre of the bed base together with a leg support section (13) which cooperates with and in a normal use position is in alignment with the back support section (12) in a substantially horizontal position. The leg support section (13) at the end (13a) which faces towards the back support section (12) is vertically adjustable relative to the pivotal axis of the back support section for rearrangement of the said end (13a) of the leg support section (13) from an aligned to a prolapsed position relative to the back support section (12). The bed is further provided with a link arm mechanism (21-23) for controlled raising and lowering of the leg support section (13) relative to the back support section. Le lit comprend une base (11) divisée en deux sections (12, 13), à savoir une section de support du dos (12) pouvant pivoter autour d'un axe transversal horizontal (14) au niveau du centre de la base du lit ensemble avec une section de support des jambes (13) qui coopère avec la section de support du dos (12) et, dans une position d'utilisation normale, la section de support des jambes est en alignement avec la section de support du dos dans une position sensiblement horizontale. La section de support des jambes (13) à l'extrémité (13a) qui regarde vers la section de support du dos (12) est réglable verticalement par rapport à l'axe de pivotement de la section de support du dos pour déplacer ladite extrémité (13a) de la section de support des jambes (13) d'une position alignée vers une position abaissée par rapport à la section de support du dos (12). Le lit est en outre pourvu d'un mécanisme à bras de liaison (21-23) pour monter et baisser la section de support de jambes (13) par rapport à la section de support du dos (12).
