Zusammenfassung:	The device for cooling a wall of a shaft furnace comprises packets, mounted along the wall and fixed on a shell (9) thereof, which packets have cooling tubes (3) and refractory insertions (6) placed between said tubes (3). Each of the packets is subdivided along the height into sections (1) each of them having cooling tubes (3) which are welded to a metal plate which plate is arranged inside the section (1) and subdivided into separate parts (7). Le dispositif de refroidissement d'une paroi d'un four à cuve comprend des assemblages montés le long de la paroi et fixés sur une enveloppe (9) de la paroi, lesquels assemblages possèdent des tubes de refroidissement (3) et des insertions réfractaires (6) placées entre les tubes (3). Chacun des assemblages est subdivisé suivant la hauteur en sections (1) qui possèdent chacune d'elles des tubes de refroidissement (3) lesquels sont soudés à une plaque métallique disposée à l'intérieur de la section (1) et subdivisée en parties séparées (7).
