DUAL-PEAK STATIC SEAL FOR HYDRAULIC DEVICE

An annular seal (10) for use in a hydraulic device provides a static seal between two components (15) of the hydraulic device that do not move relative to each other. The annular seal has a cross-section that is substantially M-shaped along one of an inner diameter circumferential surface of the annular seal or an outer diameter circumferential surface of the annular seal. The other of the inner diameter circumferential surface or the outer diameter circumferential surface of the annular seal includes opposite side cylindrical portions (422, 424) extending substantially parallel to a central axis (400) of the annular seal (10) with a concave central portion (436) disposed between the opposite side cylindrical portions (422, 424).
