IMAGE PROCESSING-BASED METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ULTRASONIC MEASUREMENT OF HEPATIC STEATOSIS

An image processing-based method for ultrasonic measurement of hepatic steatosis, comprising: preprocessing a set of RF signals of an abdominal region including a liver region acquired by ultrasonic imaging, and then converting same into a grayscale image (S1); processing the grayscale image to obtain a liver region first segmentation template (S2); removing an interference signal region in the liver region first segmentation template to obtain a liver region second segmentation template (S3); using the liver region second segmentation template to mark the grayscale image, to obtain a region of interest (S4); and in the region of interest, calculating an attenuation coefficient representing the degree of hepatic steatosis (S5). Therefore, the attenuation coefficient can be calculated only for sampling points in the liver and non-focus regions, thereby achieving more accurate hepatic steatosis measurement.
