The electronic device comprises a memory storing at least one instruction and a processor, connected to the memory, for controlling the electronic device. By executing the at least one instruction, the processor: acquires time-series information about a movement of a user on the basis of data received from a non-contact sensor for detecting the movement of the user; inputs a plurality of pieces of information, included in a plurality of time periods, among the time-series information about the movement of the user, and thereby acquires a plurality of pieces of first feature information about the plurality of pieces of information, respectively; and identifies the respective sleep stages of the plurality of time periods on the basis of the relevance between the plurality of pieces of first feature information by inputting the plurality of pieces of first feature information to at least one artificial intelligence model.
