Zusammenfassung:A home appliance for preventing overheating may comprise: a DC link capacitor which smooths an alternating current input voltage; at least one distribution resistor for dividing a voltage at both ends of the DC link capacitor; and a first temperature detector which is connected in series to the at least one distribution resistor so as to divide the voltage at both ends of the DC link capacitor with the distribution resistor, and which has resistance varying according to temperature. The home appliance may comprise a switched mode power supply (SMPS) controller which has, as input, a first point where the at least one distribution resistor and the first temperature detector are connected, so as to determine, on the basis of a voltage variation between the first point and the ground, whether overheating has occurred.
