GAS GENERATOR WITH A GAS SUPPLY FOR A PROTECTION DEVICE

The invention relates to a gas generator, comprising: - a gas chamber (10), comprising a discharge opening (11); - a sealing cap (20); - inflation gases (30), stored in the gas chamber (10); - an opening piston (40), movable between an inoperative position, and an open position; and - a pyrotechnic device, arranged to move the opening piston (40), characterised in that the gas generator comprises: - at least one retaining element (71) of the opening piston (40), provided for retaining the opening piston (40) in the inoperative position, before the actuation of the pyrotechnic device; and/or - at least one locking element (71) of the opening piston (40), provided, after the actuation of the pyrotechnic device, for locking the opening piston (40) in the inoperative position or in an operative position.
