Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a process for preparing one or more of a mono-alcohol, a diol and a triol, each having two or three carbon atoms and more specifically to a process preparing one or more of a monoalcohol, a diol and a triol, employing a catalyst comprising nickel, wherein the catalyst comprises zirconium oxide, wherein from 5 to 60 wt.-% of the catalyst consist of zirconium oxide, calculated as ZrO2. La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un ou de plusieurs parmi un mono-alcool, un diol et un triol, chacun ayant deux ou trois atomes de carbone et plus particulièrement un procédé de préparation d'un ou de plusieurs éléments parmi un monoalcool, un diol et un triol, utilisant un catalyseur comprenant du nickel, le catalyseur comprenant de l'oxyde de zirconium, de 5 à 60% en poids du catalyseur étant constitué d'oxyde de zirconium, calculé en tant que ZrO2.
